Michigan Pushing Primary Up

Here we go again. Will Wierd Howard and the DNC really sanction the states moving up when the convention rolls around? (See post below) Here goes Michigan now. Pretty soon all the big egos in Donk clothing will have no votes come convention time. Nah! Dean doesn't have that much calcium in his backbone.

Just a thought.

DNC Stands Firm - This Time

Usually, the Donks tend to go with political expediency. In its dispute with Florida the DNC is standing firm. Florida wants to move its primary up to make a little more noise in the primary season. The DNC says no.

Party rules say states cannot hold their 2008 primary contests before Feb. 5,
except for Iowa on Jan. 14, Nevada on Jan. 19, New Hampshire on Jan. 22 and
South Carolina on Jan. 29.
The calendar was designed to preserve the
traditional role that Iowa and New Hampshire have played in selecting the
nominee, while adding two states with more racial and geographic diversity to
influential early slots.

There appears to be little argument material remaining. They've considered the race accusation and the geographic slight. What's Florida's point? I guess they could come out with a bias against the Latino population. We'll just have to wait and see. For now the DNC is showing a little backbone.

American Left, Why Don't They Get It?

If they would only spend a little time with the Cubans who fled the dream of the left and settled in Miami and witness the excitement of Castro's demise they might see the light. Some are committed communists and will never acknowledge the errors and the failures of the system all over the world. But maybe a few would come to their senses.

Fred Thompson, The Fair Taxer? Possibly.

Earlier today Ol' BC got an e-mail from the always astute and rarely off base, BC, Jr. (or Little BC if you will) that prompted some degree of interest. I've always been a proponent of eliminating the IRS as we know it and the federal income tax as well. Replacing it with a sales tax would be much easier to manage and much more difficult for the government to screw with individuals via the tax system. My logic is really quite simple. Now, crooks don't pay taxes. They can deal their drugs and buy nice things and never file a tax return. Under a sales tax system they would pay as every one else pays. Even mostly honest people who just fail to report a little here and a little there would pay honestly. Illegals who work for cash on the side would pay as everyone else pays. (The legal poor could be rebated a predetermined amount at the beginning of each year to keep them from paying on income up to a level deemed appropriate. It really wouldn't be too difficult to administer.)

Looks like Fred Thompson agrees with Ol' BC to a large degree.

What will this mean if Fred becomes a "declared" candidate? Who knows? My first guess is ridicule from the MSM and Hitlery and her Socialist buddies. It may be time for a major overhaul and Fred Thompson may be the catalyst. Let's hope so.

Hillary Clinton. . .A Drag?

After a nice few days in Key West enjoying Lobsterfest and celebrating Mrs. BC's birthday, I returned to find this interesting piece. Will Hitlerary drag down other candidates. I feel pretty sure that in most parts of the country she will.

"I'm not sure it would be fatal in Indiana, but she would be a drag" on many
candidates, said Democratic state Rep. Dave Crooks of Washington, Ind.

Not only in Indiana, pal. All over the country.

The chairman of a Midwest state party called Clinton a nightmare for
congressional and state legislative candidates.

It wouldn't take a party chairman to know that. Ol' BC could have told you.

Here's A Real Good One

This article and document has to make one chuckle a bit. A "Nixon political operative" on the lookout for new GOP talent sent this memo in 1971 to some bigwigs in the Nixon administration. His hot potential candidate. . . . . . . . John Kerry. No punch line needed.

Just an observation.

Guiliani Extends Lead...Hitlery Too

Here it is. Tells us that Rudy's lead is getting a little larger over. . . . . . . . .Fred Thompson. What? you may ask. And justifiably so. Remember this. While the main stream media is pimping Hitlery and Obama, Fred Thompson isn't a candidate. Would he make a good one? I think he would. Is he perfect? No, but who in this anemic batch is? Ol' BC and RightWingRocker might make a great ticket, but not nearly enough media types could tolerate a ticket of that magnitude.

Just a thought.
